Based at Robinson College, Cambridge, this student-run theatre society puts on plays and musicals in our well equipped 270-seater Auditorium. Our main goal is to get as many members of the college as possible involved in all things theatrey.
We try to fill all roles from cast to crew to band with Robinson students, although we do often have members of other colleges involved.
We generally put on shows in every term - Michaelmas and Lent shows are n the Auditorium and Easter term one are in the outside Maria Björnson Theatre.
We are society of the Robinson College Students Association (RCSA) who give us money.
Brickhouse Theatre Company is Robinson's student drama society. We have over 400 members, spanning the whole university. We produce a show in both the Lent and Michaelmas terms, usually a big musical and a straight play, but the programme is flexible, depending on the applications received. Recent musicals include 'Guys and Dolls', 'The Threepenny Opera' and 'Lady in the Dark', while on the plays front, we've put on 'Stags and Hens', 'Wyrd Sisters' and 'The Glass Menagerie'. There are always opportunities at Brickhouse whatever your interests, be it stage management, acting, directing, design, set building, lighting, sound, technical direction or producing. Look out for the audition and production advertisements in the student press, on the society email list or around Robinson.
