Membership of CUBS is open to all those associated with the University of Cambridge , and to persons outside the university at the discretion of the committee. For more details, please feel free to email any of the office bearers whose details may be found on the committee page of the website.
HOW TO JOIN
There are currently two types of membership available:

You can join CUBS at any time, perhaps at one of our events, or by sending an email to the Treasurer followed by sending a cheque for the appropriate amount. When sending payment you must include your full name, College address, e-mail address, year and subject.
Please make cheques payable to Cambridge University Bangladesh Society.
BENEFITS FOR MEMBERS
Once you have become a member of CUBS you may:
Take part in the decision making of the society such as the:
- Right to vote at the annual general meeting of the Society
- Right to run for any of the offices of the Executive Committee
- Right to attend any of the Executive Committee meetings
- Right to have a say on how you want the Society to operate
Membership of the Cambridge University Bangladesh Society also entitles you to:
- Free entry to all speaker events.
- Priority booking and discounted ticket prices for social events such as the Cambridge Bengal Dinner and the Bengal Garden Party.
- Being kept up-to-date with advance notification of forthcoming events.
- A 10% discount at a range of Bangladeshi (Indian) restaurants in Cambridge .
The membership fees we collect are used to fund the running of the society, particularly in publicity and looking after our guests. We are fortunate to also receive sponsorship from time to time allowing us to provide one of the lowest membership fees of the University societies.
