"The purpose of religion as revealed from the heaven of God's holy Will is to establish unity and concord amongst the peoples of the world; make it not the cause of dissension and strife. The religion of God and His divine law are the most potent instruments and the surest of all means for the dawning of the light of unity amongst men."
~Bahá'u'lláh~ |
OUR VISION The Cambridge University Bahá'í Society is an organisation of undergraduate and graduate students dedicated to the promotion of the universal principles of the Bahá'í Faith. We believe that the widespread upheavals characterizing the global scene in this century, as well as the rapid advances in science and technology which are forcing humanity to acknowledge its organic unity and interconnectedness, are hallmarks of the coming-of-age of the human race and serve as portents of the establishment of a spiritualised and peaceful world civilisation. This bright vision of our future can be achieved only through the apprehension of the oneness of the human race and our common spiritual destiny. In the 30 years since it was established, the Cambridge University Bahá'í Society has been active in promoting these fundamental principles at the University and in being a dynamic force for the bringing together of students from all backgrounds.
ABOUT CUBSThe society is open to all students. It aims to encourage association, friendship and interchange of ideas between those of differing backgrounds and to promote discussion of topical and global issues as well as those related to spiritual and personal development.
