 Chairman - Richard Shaw jrs65(at)cam.ac.uk

Richard is a third year physicist from Queens' (and Yorkshire). He's probably described best as "...not the greatest observer in the world, but maybe the most enthusiastic". Outside of astronomy and physics, Richard likes to climb about as comptetently and as frequently as he observes, he also enjoys the perks of teching at Queens'. Currently his favourite food at the Pickerel is bed, so he promises to try and go there a bit more in future.

 Treasurer - T.S Tan
tst26(at)cam.ac.uk

Up next is Ta Sheng, a first year from Corpus. As with last years Treasurer, Ta Sheng is the only Mathmo on the committee. He is Malaysian and rarely drinks alcohol.

 Observation - David Trethewey dlrt2(at)cam.ac.uk

David is a third-year at Robinson doing Part II Astrophysics. He is a keen observer and has even tried to photograph the moon, planets and constellations with variable success. Have a look at the photo gallery on the website, especially the section titled "Pitfalls of Astrophotography". He has also been recently re-elected as Observation Secretary so he tends to spend a lot of time at the IoA. He also comes along to most CUAS socials, and hopes that the pub lunches can restart at some point. He also is a boatie, although he has enough sense not to get too good and cause rowing to take over his life completely.

 Secretary - Jamie Horder jh447(at)cam.ac.uk

Jamie is a 2nd year biological NatSci from Gonville and Caius, the college everyone mispronounces at first. Apart from astronomy, his interests include running around chasing a plastic disc (Ultimate Frisbee) and getting himself launched thousands of feet into the air inside a plane with no engine (gliding). Next year he is doing perhaps the least astronomical Part II option of all, Psychology. Check the pages of Varsity for occasional examples of his brilliant writing.

 Membership - Mike Preece map44(at)cam.ac.uk

Mike is a 3rd year Physicist from Pembroke. Apart from being the CUAS membership secretary, he is also the CUPS treasurer and plays pool (badly) for his college 4th team.

 Social - Aidan Parker ajp84(at)cam.ac.uk

Aidan is a second year physical NatSci studying Geology at New Hall. When not communing with the rocks she enjoys gliding, punting, playing trombone in a swing band and trying to persuade someone (anyone!) to come to a ceilidh with her. In what seems to be a trend amongst the CUAS committee her poison of choice is port. To the astonishment of her friends she is also a big fan of country music and tends to be infamous for her choices of somewhat unusual hair colours. Aidan is also in the shameful position of never actually having been to the Pickerel.

 Publications - Sky French stf26(at)cam.ac.uk

Sky is a first year physical NatSci from Peterhouse. As well as doing publications related things for CUAS, she rows.
