- Thursday 16th March, 1400 - Mayor Richard Gibson found dead. Details to follow... possibly
- Wednseday 15th March, 1335 - Thomas de Rivaz found dead in S staircase King's. The Polive are reported to be "not angry, just disappointed. And angry" at the fact their advice to Stay Away from this area of Cambridge has so clearly been ignored.
- Wednesday 15th March, 1005 - Janet Scott foun dead in the New Museums stie. A hysterical Deputy Mayor addressed the people regarding the latest death, however soon had to be led away by security services as he babbled incoherently about dissidents and wampires.
- Tuesday 14th March, 1630 - Charles Curry found dead in New Hall. Police are unsure as to why he was in an all-girl college, and there are unfounded rumours that he was found with a camera and a manic grin...
- Tuesday 14th March, 1530 - The body of an unknown individual was found in New Hall. Police have reminded Townspeople that they should not take the law into their own hands, particularly when it comes to inidividuals they are unfamiliar with.
- Monday 13th March, 1330 - David Smith found dead on Silver Street, "knocked out and strangled with his own entrails" according to one shocked witness. So far the Deputy Mayor hasn't claimed responsibility for this one...
- Monday 13th March, 1055 - Deputy Mayor George Davies claimed responsibility for the death of Tom Wootten, found dead on the Downing site this morning. A rather harassed and nervous looking Deputy Mayor proclaimed to the townspeople "i am sure that we have now rounded up all dissidents, and that the trouble will now cease... hopefully... please return to business as usual."
- Sunday 12th March, 1500 - The Police would like to remind Townspeople to familiarise themselves with the current weapons laws, as there have been reported incidents of illegal weapons misfiring, or simply mysteriously not having the desired effect. Any Townsperson unsure as to the legality of their firearms are requested to present them for inspection before use. The Police would also like to remind Townspeople to be careful with any large weapons, such as coshes, and to advise them against throwing them, as this may cause greaat PAIN and INJUSTICE.
- Sunday 12th March, 1245 - Adam Baird Fraser and Lauren Grest were found slumped over $unspecified_foodstuffs in Newnham buttery. Whilst initial evidence points towards food poisoning, the catering staff at Newnham were quick to dispel any fears over the quality of their food. The Police have sent in a crack team to investigate, and are currently bravely 'working' their way through a large pile of muffins.
- Sunday 12th March, 0530 - Alexey Pokrovskiy was found dead in his Girton room, still in black tie. Investigators have said that "intoxication may or may not have been the cause". The organisers of the Girton Ball have been called in for questioning.
- Saturday 11th March, 2210 - Samuel Borin was found dead. Deputy Mayor George Davies has again admitted this was his doing, adding "Due to continuing security issues the deputy mayors office will now be enforcing a curfew. Any citizens found out after dark will be assumed to have evil intentions and action will be taken against them." The Police have issued a statement saying that they are investigating the Deputy Mayor, and are "a little bit baffled as to what's going oops upside his head", and have advised caution around anyone even vaguely resembling Harry Potter.
- Saturday 11th March,1730 - Michael Donaghy was found dead on his doorstep. Deputy Mayor George Davies has confessed to the killing, and would like to pass on the following message to the Townspeople: "I beleive the trouble will now cease and the situation return to normal."
- Saturday 11th March, 1625 - The bodies of Chris Field and Michael Richards were found in S staircase, King's - the Police are baffled as to why this usually quiet area of the town has seen so much DEATH and HORRIBLEMENT this afternoon, a spokesman adding "stay away from this place, there is badness in the air, and not the good type of badness, the bad type of badness, oh yes...", before hurling himself out of a 3rd floor window.
- Saturday 11th March, 1510 - Bryony Baines found dead at her home in far far away land. A note was found on the body: "The attempt on our honourable Mayor has been revenged".
- Saturday 11th March, 1420 - Philip Bielby found dead in S staircase, King's! zomg! etc.
- Saturday 11th March, 1405 - Deputy Mayor James Willmoth found dead in his own home. Concerns grow for the other Deputy and the Mayor himself, and the Police are requesting that upstanding Townspeople make special efforts to protect these important, well respected members of the town.
- Saturday 11th March, 1205 - Murder(?) outside the Cockcroft Lecture Theatre! Simeon Bird found dead. This report from inspectors at the scene: "Throat torn out and a look of horror frozen on his face. Left leg chewed off at the knee." The Police are advising Townspeople "to be extra vigilant, and avoid going to lectures unless there are going to be hot chicks".
- Friday 10th March, 2350 - Lottie Heron was found dead in her room in Newhnam College. Tom Booth has claimed responsibility for the murder, but has not confessed under oath, and may simply be hysterical due to having missed a meal.
- Friday 10th March, 2315 - Shcok and Awe has rocked the town as the body of Mayor Jake Corteen was found in the vicinity of Queens' College. Richard Gibson has been elected Mayor (although why neither of the Deputies got the job is a mystery that the new Mayor will have to explain himself...). The new Mayor will address the townspeople soon...
- Friday 10th March, 1825 - The body of Ed Heaney was found in an uncompromising position at the bottom of Z Staircase, Christ's this evening. Townspeople are advised to remain calm, but also vigilant, taking particular care if they are in the vicinity of this location.
- Friday 10th March, 1700 - Mayor Corteen addressed the townspeople.
Wampires 2006 is go! The Mayor has addressed the townspeople (see News) regarding the rumours or wampires in the area! Be vigilant!
Make sure you take note of the things below!
- Players are reminded to familiarise themselves with their own schedule, which can be found on their page on the Player Information page.
- Players are invited to #townspeople on IRC (see the Rules for advice on getting onto IRC).
- Players are reminded that all turnings and kills must be reported to the Umpire.
- Players are reminded to make sure they are up-to-date with the rules, the turning section, in particular, has changed slightly in the last 24 hours.
- Deputy Mayors are identical to Mayors except that they shall not be succeeded should they die. Thus if a werewolf or vampire tries to turn a Deputy, the Deputy dies. Neither of the Deputies is a werewolf or vampire.
The Game In Brief
- Your objective is to help your species survive by killing off the others - of course, your loyalties may switch...
- Werewolves and Vampires can attempt to subdue Townspeople and change them into more Werewolves (or Vampires). Note that they have to do this *without* killing them in the process.
- You *can* also kill other Players, although this may or may not be advisable.
- Townspeople who are Priests can change subdued Vampires and Werewolves back into Townspeople.
