[09:18am] The Tigerbunny of Dhooom!!! assassinated The man with a rubber band, somewhere on his person, at least 80% of the time. Not really that hard to kill, and is unlikely to be running around or stuff.

The man with a rubber band, somewhere on his person, at least 80% of the time. Not really that hard to kill, and is unlikely to be running around or stuff. reports:

Well, Kirsty stabbed me in the Senate House whilst we were waiting for the results to be read out. When I told her that I thought it was OOB following a ruling yesterday, she looked so disappointed that I said I'd let her stab me again after we had left and were back in bounds.

So I did.

[09:20am] The Tigerbunny of Dhooom!!! assassinated Sentenced to Madness by Cthulu's Visage

The not especially innocent Ric Brackenbury. reports:

I saw Sentenced to Madness by Cthulu's Visage hanging around after maths results, chatting to someone I went to school with. So I went over and joined the conversation, as the Lady in Red made her telling contribution from behind.

No innuendo intended.

[09:40am] The Tigerbunny of Dhooom!!! assassinated random meme

The Tigerbunny of Dhooom!!! reports:

Ahah! Yet another oblivious mathmo. Or perhaps not.

Running in dress shoes is difficult and noisy, so I abandoned all hopes sneaking up on random meme unaware and simply went for it.

To my horror he turned, drew a band gun and pointed it directly at me. "Are you an assassin?" "Whu? Oh, one of my friends said you got a distinction and I just wanted to say...sorry" The 'sorry' was, of course, as I stabbed him with my trusty PurpleKnife.

Just as well random meme doesn't have any sort of 'shoot first, check player status later' mentality...

Note: A bright red Ballgown is, in fact, subtle.

random meme reports:

I was trying to avoid killing any innocents for a change. I think that this must be the most stupid of my many deaths so far.

[11:40am] Nobody worth killing assassinated Zorn's Lemon

Nobody worth killing reports:

Who said that stabbing people in the back was dishonourable? :)

Deuce reports:

dunkyb, I believe.

The Prinny Squad reports:

I said it was "less" honourable, so you might be thinking of me.

Zorn's Lemon reports:

I fell to my knees with a terrible cry of anguish as the blade plunged into my side.

Or something like that.

[14:02pm] The Eye of Argon made an attempt on Mungojerrie

Mungojerrie reports:

I was out of Cambridge for the day, but that didn't stop my partner relating the following story to me!

She was lieing on the bed reading, when a loud noise was heard at the window. It turned out to be assassins! They tried to open the window (impossible), then decided for some reason to try and draw the curtain with a stick through the very small gap (too small, as it happens, to shoot through). Upon the loud drawing of the curtain, it was discovered that 'Ah, at least it doesn't look like there are any heavy weapons there'. The fact that there was also no Kat there may, but apparently did not, lead to the conclusion that the heavy weapons and the Kat were in the very same place....

Now I'm tired and going to bed - night night!

[16:00pm] Victor Fries made an attempt on A legal non player

The devil on the left shoulder reports:

There's J Doe! Shoot him!

The angel on the right shoulder reports:

But he's a non-player and he's unarmed.

The devil on the left shoulder reports:

He's been following us! He's got a mobile!

The angel on the right shoulder reports:

However he's not currently using the mobile...

The devil on the left shoulder reports:

He's going to! Whatever he says, don't trust him! He's going to phone AbF!

The angel on the right shoulder reports:

Victor Fries only has a medium sized supersoaker.

The devil on the left shoulder reports:

That's a good point. Well, next time then.

[16:30pm] Red October made an attempt on Ivy

Alastair Campbell reports:

In order to further intercollegiate relations a group visited Pembroke College today and briefly met members of the student population. Other urgent affairs meant that the visit was only of a limited duration.

Ivy reports:

He saw us through his window so we quickly ran off.

[16:40pm] Nobody worth killing made an attempt on Ivy

Alastair Campbell reports:

Our reconnaissance spotted enemy forces near Mill Lane. Therefore a tactical regrouping was required which redeployed our lines towards the back of Peterhouse.

[Add/edit reports]

[16:45pm] Ivy assassinated Deuce

Deuce reports:

Arrived at Lion Yard to see an AbF outside, looking for Bjoernandjenny, who had apparently been seen in the area a mere five minutes previous. We made a no-kill and began to sweep the area, spotting them on Trumpington Street about ten minutes later. AbF ducked into a doorway and rapidly began to call for backup, but I was sure that Jenny had spotted me and had no option other than to feign innocence and try to look like I was turning up Pembroke Street. They crossed the road and stood next to Little St. Mary's for a while, but soon disappeared.

I looked for AbF but couldn't see him, and ran off down Mill Lane to cut off any sneaky backtracking manoeuvres they might attempt, hoping that he spotted me and would follow. I saw the gruesome twosome outside the grad-pad, moving in the opposite direction, and they saw me again. Clearly their intention was to run rather than fight- the cowards! I decided it was my duty to hold them as long as possible so that AbF's assassins could converge on their position, and began to follow at a totally indiscreet distance. By the time I realised quite how fast they were running, though, they were halfway across the fen at the back of Peterhouse.

There isn't much cover there so I simply sprinted after them behind what few trees I could find, but was rather stuck when they stopped and began to crossed the bridge with a clear intention of dealing with me once and for all. My first plan was to ford the stream and get away that way, or at least get behind Bjoern to Jenny, but I hadn't taken account of the width or depth of the waterway and ended up trying to hide in the foliage at the side as best I could. At this point I realised that AbF and the cavalry were not on their way to rescue me, and that I was a bit stuck, so went for broke.

As Bjoern opened up with his Storm, I scrambled up the bank and ran for Jenny, somehow avoiding the blasts of her Teutonic bodyguard's weapon. Armed only with RBGs, I had to get rather closer than I would have liked, and my kamikaze charge was no match for Jenny's accuracy as she shot me in the neck from outside RBG range just as I fired my first shots.

It turned out they thought there were many more of us than there in fact were, and they were expecting AbF's minions to arrive any second, but they had clearly either not arrived in time, not realised where I'd gone or simply decided not to bother. And with my suicidal lone attempt dealt with, they were free to disappear off into the ether once more...

Ivy reports:

We realised we'd been spotted by AbF, who had sent out phone reports, and were being trailed by Deuce. He got halfway across the field and tried to hide behind a very insufficent tree, so I sent Bjoern to kill him. But he ran towards me, so I had to do it.

[16:50pm] Time Bandit made an attempt on Ivy

Alastair Campbell reports:

Our reconnaissance spotted Time Bandit near the traffic lights and our brave troops had to aggressively redeploy in the direction of King's College.

Ivy reports:

We saw Time Bandit, we ran towards King's.

[Add/edit reports]

[16:53pm] hoopla! made an attempt on Ivy

Alastair Campbell reports:

Further redeployements were necessary when hoopla! was spotted near Harvey Court. Coincidentally we had long been planning to perform an in-depth survey of various facilities in King's College. Sadly these plans did not allow for us to attack hoopla! or Time Bandit.

Cambridge's Most Wanted reports:

We realised assassins were pouring out of colleges, summoned by various phone calls and coordinated by irc. So we legged it into Kings. They kept pouring out and surrounded us.

So we bravely hid in a cubicle in the ladies' loos in the basement for an hour in the hope that they would go away.

Alastair Campbell reports:

It was aggressive hiding in toilets! We fortified a toilet, which was as far away from civilisation as possible and were entirely prepared to fight all those meaning to storm our cubicle!

Cambridge's Most Wanted reports:

We thought the assassins had probably gone away, so we left the ladies' loo and crept out. We immediately ran into Gordon, who called for backup. I left Bjoern fighting him and ran like the wind for Kings entrance.

Winifred was waiting in the trees with a big water weapon, grinning at me with evil intent. I started to run for the safety of Harvey Court gardens, but he was closing the distance so I turned to fight. My Storm worked nicely, his big thing worked erratically, and he ran straight into my fire. So I kept running for Harvey Court Gardens.

[18:35pm] hoopla! made an attempt on Ivy

Cambridge's Most Wanted reports:

I was Bjoernless, scared and heading for Harvey Court in a great hurry, when I heard running footsteps behind me. I increased my speed and got onto the grass where I assume the no-kill zone sensibly begins, turned and fired as she shot me with her XP. Lucky I reached the grass in time, really.

I apologise for swearing in front of Bryony's brother. I was a little tense.

[21:50pm] Mrs. Fluffy Ex-Umpire assassinated flora

Mrs. Fluffy Ex-Umpire reports:

I walked into the plodge moaning about an unsuccessful day of Jenny-hunting and who do I walk into but my already two-time victim flora?

"Hi Sarah, can I shoot you?"

"Bang" - Sarah (using her fingers)

"No Sarah, that just doesn't work, bang"

Mr. Fluffy Ex-Umpire reports:

I was impressed by flora's conviction in attempting to convince us that finger-pistols were a legal weapon, but as I wrote the current set of rules I'm not about to lose too much sleep wondering whether she was right.

[22:47pm] It's Fathers' Day this Sunday assassinated The man with a rubber band, somewhere on his person, at least 80% of the time. Not really that hard to kill, and is unlikely to be running around or stuff.

It's Fathers' Day this Sunday reports:

Walking past Darwin on my way to a letter box to post a Fathers' Day card, I saw a tall thin male and a short female on the other side of the road. The male seemed to have less hair than I remembered.

"Hi, Maz," called the female. "Hello," I replied. "Oh, ****!" said the male, attempting to enter Darwin via the locked side gate. I approached him. "Please don't shoot me with a water pistol, Maz," he said, so I bang-killed him instead.
