Durham Varsity Match Rules of Engagement
These are the rules suggested by Durham, amended by us, and
agreed on by Durham. Any queries to assassins@srcf.ucam.org.
- Guns
Rubber band guns, Nerf and other soft air weapons allowed.
Cap guns not allowed, nor just rubber bands on fingers.
Water weapons to only be used out of doors and if it is dry.
- Melee weapons
Knives/coshes are fatal on a single strike, must be represented by an
appropriate phys-rep. No rolled up bits of paper with "cosh" written on
them.
- Hits
Hits to head or torso are fatal. Hits to limbs disable that limb.
- Grenades
Grenades / Waterbombs - direct hits required. Water rules as above.
- Bombs
Standard Bombs Rules
- Poison
Represented by a note legibly saying "You Have Been Poisoned" that is visible
when the food has been consumed/drink drunk. Antidote is anything that changes
the colour of the mouth and must be taken within 30 seconds.
No contact poisons.
- Gas
NO gas.
- Misc
Anything not covered by the rules above is not a legitmate kill.
No defenses (body armour/boats)
- Boundaries
Licensed areas/shops/libraries/labs are out of bounds to all kills with the
execption of poison. If a kill is attemped by any other method it fails.
Game proceeds between 10am and 1am.
