• The Most Violent Kill: Tigger (Tim Pike) for the wettest kill of the game - involving total submersion!
• The Lemming award: The Ominous Pseudonym (Thomas Peters) for being killed a whole five minutes after the beginning of the game.
• Best kill reports: Harland Quinn (Stu Gill) for citing every kill and death in verse !
• Most blatent plugging of another event: Athos (Rachel Wellman) whos every kill report was an advert for the Three Musketeers.
• Most unassuming kill: The Sphinx (Laura Campbell) for treating a student in the early morning as a student in the early morning should be treated!
• The David Duffett prize for Secrecy: Lead Piping (Alan Senior) for no-one knowing he was an assassin until the fatal blow.
• Most quarrelsome couple: Tigger (Tim Pike) and Unicorn (Kathy Brazier) for killing each other in the most amusing ways possible.
• Most in-character kill: Hologram (Alex Churchill) - "Have a jelly-baby".
• Best unconscious act of violence: Tigger (Tim Pike) Too inebriated to tell how many people he had killed!
• Best legal kill of an innocent: The Hobbit "Here, hold this..."

Overkill now has a PhD (Paranoid Hardened Deathmaster) for his troubles, having won in Lent 1998 as well. This is only the second PhD given out so far - the other one was given to David Allsopp, who won in Lent 1994 and May Week 1995.
