Sidgewick Site
1500-1545
The three contestants and some other random people (No News, Overkill, and The Captain) today went down to the Sidgwick site to finally settle the assassins game this term. The Westley appeared to come unarmed, but we were sure that was a mere conception. Penelope came with a CPS-1500 and a CPS-1000, and extra water for refills. Garrett had a CPS-1000, a dart gun, several smaller water weapons, plenty of water bombs, poisoned baby hedgehogs, etc. He wondered if he was overdoing it slightly...
Before the start, No News decided to commit ritual suicide, putting a bullet through his mouth and out the back of his head, before commenting on the taste of the water used in the weapon.
The three living murderers were taken to the three corners of the site and released at the same time. Garrett and Penelope carefully brought the Westley into an ambush situation, and disposed of the criminal. Westley admitted to be being dead on both sides and retired. The two remaining players were then separated again and set free. Garrett left his CPS-1000 with Overkill, and started wandering around in open spaces with a massively out-rated weapon. Penelope at this point was picking his way round the back of where Garrett was hiding, toting a CPS-1500. Zombie then arrived, to see the show. Garrett then did a magic disappearing act, only to appear under the raised building. As Penelope walked slowly in his direction, Garrett wisely dropped his water weapon, which promptly started to leak, and had to be abandoned. There then ensued a long chain of chilling standoffs (all people involved with huge grins on their faces), and impressive dodging on the part of Garrett. Quite a few water balloons and poisoned baby hedgehogs found their way alarmingly close to Penelope's feet, along with a decent volley of darts. Then came a standoff, as Penelope's CPS-1500 ran out of water. So he took off his rucksack and got out a bottle of water, which he transferred into the CPS-1500, and his CPS-1000, this sight of which made Garrett run around to the other side of the grass area and attempt to pick up his darts. There was another chase around the raised faculty building, until Penelope finally got Garrett into a corner and shot him.
Then, everyone decided to get out their weapons and go beserk. Overkill went after the Zombie with two (!) CPS-1000s, while Zombie picked up the CPS-1500 to retaliate. Garrett and Penelope inspected the remains of the broken water pistol, and No News conferred with his innocent friend about the outcome of the event. Overkill decided it would be a good idea to kill said innocent with a nerf-gun. Zombie challenged The Captain that he could dodge the dart from his gun, the result of which was an extra notch in carved in said gun. No News was chopped in half neatly by The Captain's razor-edged hat. No News then decided it would be a great idea to commit ritual suicide again. Overkill threw a knife at The Captain, and while the knife was in motion, Overkill fell victim to the bullets from The Captain's pistol. The Zombie then decided it would be a good idea to empty all the water weapons onto the concrete. It kept him a bit drier than if he hadn't anyway.
All in all a great hour. We then packed our multitude of weapons under coat and in bag, and went off to attempt being normal.
