The Uncle and many of his Minions (in particular Maz) set a trap for Kathy in the Chemistry department; on failing it they took photographs of all the chemists in the labs to try and obtain pictures of Kathleen. The corpse of PC Archaeonecros was seen nearby - is the Uncle accused of Necromancy? There's a huge and evil conspiracy out there, but the Uncle escapes the wanted list as the corpse was largely guilty of choosing unlicensed company to act as a peripheral decoy

Dead: Ben Lumsden by the Uncle:

Mr. Ben Lumsden met with a small accident today. It was small, cylindrical, and travelling the other way at about 350 ms-1. There was a witness, but he did not realise that Ben was dead until I told him about it later (my methods are silent). He will not give away my identity.

Mr Pink would like to report the death of Milt Mavrakakis, killed in his own room with a sword through the back, as part of his ongoing quest against incompetence.

Emma the Zombie dies for 5 minutes upon deading before being re-raisable into the thick of the battle. Her hits don't count but she can obstruct play when alive and steal unattended weaponry and hold/reload Kathy's weapons, spy places out and cause distractions. And cosh people as that is not fatal, just crippling. Any accomplice can do this, if the player is in the same room but if you re-use a dead one, you're Wanted for Necromancy

Kathy was shackled today in lectures by the Uncle's Minions, but used her powers to elude the psychopath himself, and to inexplicably disappear...

Whilst walking between lectures, secure in the knowledge that the only wanted assassin who knew him by face (George) was in a lecture PC Amery was surprised to hear a large bang near his left kidney, and see George smiling at him.

It took his lecture-laden brain 2 hours to figure out he was dead, and he was found slumping over his notes in Mill Lane 9 by the board wiping staff.

The Uncle is dead, having intruded into the Femmes Fatales from Fitz's Fortress. After the Uncle's minions had deserted him to go to lectures, the Uncle first dealt with the Zombie. But Miss Brazier gave chase with heavy calibre, very quickly shooting the Uncle in the back. The Uncle's corpse was identified as Mr Edmund Pringle = "Friendly Bob" = "Robert Driver". The first Master Assassin award goes to him for his 19 kills (and some of his tricks are lying about waiting to be discovered, so his killing spree as a player may still have more victims...) Emma the Zombie's side of the story is:

Kathy awoke this morning to the dulcet tones of... a Compsci's maniacal laughter in the corridor. Via the Fitz defence infrastructure, i (Emma) was able to crrep downstairs and greet the gentleman Susan Sto Helit Fashion. Having thus managed to tap him on the shoulder with the Scythe, Kathy emerged from her room guns blazing. He ducked then ran, after an humourous incident involving his attempt to shoot in the chest someone with (in game terms only) no chest.

Kathy then says

He went outside, holding the door shut, although I shot several times (whenever the door opened slighlty), possibly hitting him with some spray from the gun, where the waterjet hit the wall and bounced. (There were no valid hits here UMP) In the meantime, he had succeeded in extracting a medium calibre gun from his bag, and dashed off, with us following, me shooting him in the back, zig-zagging the gun. He ran *across the grass* (naughty), and hid behind a tree. (but by then he was already dead UMP)

The Kelpie died yesterday after an eveing of merriment with friends (some assassins do have them, you know). Making her way back to her room, she smelt the odour of a most foul and noisome substance, but paid it no mind, assuming one of the lowlifes in her staircase was responsible. But Alas! when she opened the door, neglecting in her weariness to use the protection she normally did, she felt the searing touch of deadly contact poison. The door opened and Kelpie fell through, and there do her mortal remains lie, where even the bedders won't touch them.... Her mournful shade has but one thing to say: "Satan's Child, I'll see you next term!"

Friday 6

The Spirit of Jerobaim sent Satan's Child back to hell, by narrowly winning the knife-duel outside Emma bar. The ducks failed to take any notice. the knives were large, the fighting spirits were eager. The stabwound was a straight thrust to the heart. So Jerobaim is back in full play now, and Satan's Child is in the Police Force. The Umpire was there, in black and mask with a beautiful and well-made seven-foot Scythe.

Satudray 7 Briefly, PC Ben Mansell died horribly on checking his mail, courtesy of Misfire Savva. The Christs' Mafia were also targetted with letters nailed to their doors, which failed, killing Fundi's sister. But one player decided again on direct action:

Just killed Toby Norfolk-Thomson, Emma. I went to his room and he wasn't there but as I left I noticed two people entering the building. As luck would have it, one of them was Toby. So I went in knocked him unconscious with my cosh. Then whilst I explained to him that he was now unconscious for 5 minutes I proceeded take shots at him with my "Lethal-Power(TM)" catapault. I managed to give him a fatal shot in the heart. There were (surprisingly) no witnesses.

The police assure us they've got things under control, under the leadership of Chiefs of Police Uncle and Cat

A Poison letter signed by The Auntie was discovered today, arousing fears of further mass murder. One of the active secret ones wishes now to be known as The Terminator, which bodes ill for the health of the other players. Quite a few of you haven't reported your attempt yet. Do so if you intend to continue playing. It's not fair on the people playing properly to have to eliminate secretive but incompetent players, so the Umpire will summon down on you the Blue Forked Lightening at the end of Monday.

Newsflash

Witnesses have reported a pack of at least eight people with more than one heavy calibre gun blocking off Newnham College. No victims have been reported yet, and one can only wonder why Newnham is attracting so much attention tonight...Possibly because Sheila and her Dog were meeting in the Baron Eve's room?

Elsewhere, the violence was extreme. First, Terminator was Terminated by his criminal associate:

Elsewhere, the Christs' Mafia went on the rampage, causing widespread terror, and shooting dead PC Ominous Pseudonym, who was pending suspension for murdering illicitly Godfather Fundi's sister. Mr Spider's poison letter failed, cos Fundi got someone else to open it. Fundi and the Warden also committed Necromancy as they used this same dead accomplice (known as "Kenny" in Mafia Circles) to deal with a very clever poisoned doorknob with distractions courtesy of Wunhunglow. It is also alleged that they shot Dr Eviscerator, but the Umpire thinks they ment the PC Ominous pseudonym.
