Mehdi is a third year PhD student from St Edmunds’ College and studying at Department of Engineering. He is extremely delighted to get to know all of the Arab enthusiasts at Cambridge and bring an Arabic experience to the members of this society. As much as he is proud of his Arabic heritage, he is eager to network with other societies and reach out to students from all backgrounds.

I’m a 2nd year medical student at Trinity College. As a London-born Lebanese, I’ve always been interested in the Arab world – especially the people and the food! I’m very much looking forward to meeting all the ArabSoc members, regardless of their cultural background, and making this societal year the best yet! Secretary & Language Officer: Ziyad Abu Nada

I am a fourth year PhD student at Queens’ College. I am from Palestine and extremely delighted to be a member of 2014-15 ArabSoc committee. This year I will be also teaching the Arabic classes in weekly bases and I am committed to make your Arabic learning experience a productive one. We are holding interactive classes where you can learn how to communicate in basic levels and build a foundation if you want to enhance your Arabic knowledge.

        

Design Officer: Marwa Shykhon marwa

Hey everyone! I’m Marwa, a 2nd year Architect at Downing College. I’m Design Officer for ArabSoc, which means I’m responsible for producing all the posters and flyers for the society, as well as the website!         Treasurer: Faruq QuadirFaruq

Faruq is a Chemical Engineering student from Robinson College. He was born in Slough, but was raised on the beautiful islands of Bahrain. Spending 8 years out there he fell in love with the region! Faruq is in charge of the society’s finances and tries to manage its money as economically as possible. He is looking forward to meeting you some of ArabSoc’s events.
