Welcome to the Friendly, Safe and Fun Game/Event X of Mock Assassination !
[X: insert name of game. This is not a particular game's ruleset. Or even a general ruleset. It is how to build a general ruleset! That makes it way too long for a playing ruleset but about right for the serious rule-maker or would-be designer of new optimal weapons/systems/styles. That length inevitable, we additionally move toward 1) crediting each important rule as best we can, thus showing many's effort and cooperative value, as well as giving a further sense of why and how we know... 2) explaining how a large number of rulesets are carvable from Draft 3.]
Option 1,2: X is a Termly/Weekly Game: it takes place in the middle of real life.
Option 3: X is a Killing Event which takes place at Y at time Z (where hopefully Y is carefully chosen to be secluded and safe at time Z).
Option 1,2: The idea of the weekly/termly game is to plan and carry out attacks on anyone involved in game X with means and actions that are Safe and Trouble-Free as befits the circumstances including not Alarming (let alone shooting) any "Bystanders" (people who are not involved in Assassins but who happen to be around the Scene of the Murder/Attempt/Fight/Flight) and paying due respect to any Fragile Objects at the Scene. [Substantial and well-tested precautions to avoid such things are contained in the Rules, hence why you must Read the Rules of Game X on the 5 Links Below]. It is a game of finding, correctly identifying and killing, with the Killing done with diverse Safe and Unalarming `Toy or Homemade' Weaponry such as waterpistols, cardboard knives or confetti grenades!! While Outwitting, Outmanoeuvring, Outrunning or Outfighting those who are After You ...
Option 3: Insert Motto of that particular Killing Event.
All Options: All Involved, by being Involved, consent to receive and dish out any of the Game/Event's Assassin Attacks from and to Anyone Else Involved.
Option 1: To get you going, you will be provided with three names and fully accurate addresses of some other people involved in game X. Though you may discover others through their failed attempts on you, through your secret agent skills or through their lack thereof...
Option 2: The names and full accurate addresses of all Players involved in game X will appear on the website W.
Options 1, 2: However, you needn't kill every Assassin you come across... Some you could meet and ally with, so as to join forces to attack third parties... Though alliances are not permanent or entirely "safe" things - if "dangerous" third parties begin to run out, one may feel one's ally is a larger "threat" -- and either break the alliance off honourably or, in the best traditions of Assassins, backstab them. Toward killing people that you are not acquainted with, the provided name and address can be creatively channelled to find further information such as subject, society membership, mugshot... which serves to ambush this person in a wide variety of places other than their room (incl. en route between two such places or on chance encounter...)
Option 3: In an Event who to kill is somewhat simpler: those people on the other side of the park with the waterguns, or anyone/someone in particular at a Party With Killing.
So, Assassin, Prepare to Meet, Kill and Befriend Other People in All Possible Orders!!!
