Raising Intercultural Awareness in Preparation for Teaching English in China

Abstract: The English teaching in China has its specific background as a result of different cultures, which is especially apparent to native English-speaking teachers in China. The author of this paper attempts to explore the intercultural awareness in the process of preparing for the English teaching in the Chinese context. It offers some advice by analyzing aspects of the differences between the two cultures.
